We all know that the heart, our heart muscle, is the one who pumps the blood to all parts of the body. When it contracts (systole), sending blood from the atria or ventricles then relax (diastole), allowing the arrival of more blood, it contracts again, and so on continuously. The blood reaches all the cells, nourishes and gives life.
When the blood reaches the arteries exerts pressure, maximum pressure (systolic pressure). They expand, its elasticity, and that’s when more blood flows through them.
Then the heart relaxes and exerts no force on the arteries. This is what we call minimum pressure (diastolic).
For this process (pumping) can be successful should be given specific conditions:
• Adequate amount of blood
• Blood must arrive with a specific frequency and adapted to every need
• Arteries and veins must be clean, free of obstacles, with enough light and proper elasticity
• Good quality of blood neither too liquid nor too thick
If any of the above fails, the first signal is given by the pressure exerted by blood on the walls of the arteries, that is what we call “blood.”
A worrying fact is that most people do not know what your stress, if it is high or not, and as high blood pressure or hypertension, gives no warning and usually does not cause symptoms, we know that is a great and a silent enemy risk factor for first order.
The vast majority find their hypertension by a medical examination that bad outside, without having ever suspected that suffers from it.
