Is there a relationship between oral health and smoking? Apart from the cosmetic appearance of your teeth when you smoke, what other effects do not smoke have? Let’s break it down one by one.
First, let’s start with the obvious impact of smoking related to oral health. If you are a smoker, or plan to become one, please be aware that smoking causes yellow teeth. Not only that, it also causes your gums to blacken. And we all know that the danger means yellow and black. Then there is the problem of bad breath. Clearly, smoking causes bad breath. Especially when it sticks to your gums and teeth. Talk about the worst breath, and there you have it.
Then there is the effect is not so clear. You see, what many people do not know are those problems with oral health can affect your physical health. It can even lead to heart disease. Now, smoking can cause it too, but combined with oral disease that can cause it, which in turn caused by smoking, then you have a double whammy there.
Gum disease and other oral problems can cause many health problems far beyond the boundaries of the mouth. Smoking itself was bad enough for your health, too bad for your oral health. So, why bother smoking? to look cool? I think not.
So before you think about lighting a cigarette that, think about the effect it can cause. Not only the obvious, but even that is not so clear as well. This doubles your chance to weaken your constitution. So get out now, before too late.
